Witchy Business
Rabbit, rabbit! There’s something that really tickles my OCD-pickle about having a new month start on a Monday. And when that month is October, I’m extra fired up.
Yesterday brought a moment of self-reflection, during which I realized I am becoming (if I wasn’t already) the Clark Griswold of Halloween. As I (very pregnant-ly) climbed on a step stool to drape a fake spiderweb on my windows, I was almost too busy imagining (our very first!) trick-or-treaters to listen to my husband remark, “so we’re going to be those neighbors that really get into the holidays, huh?” Yes, my dear, we are - and you best believe I didn’t just wear black to work today because it’s slimming.

Scary Times Ahead
Stating the obvious here: Halloween is a few sleeps away. Also just around the corner for me are plenty of work deadlines, a move to a new house, a handful of birthdays for my near and dears, and weekend travels to weddings and the like for the rest of the upcoming month. Scary busy times, indeed.
So please forgive my loss of momentum on posts - I promise the bloggy-blog is still on my to-do list - but the list just doesn't seem to stop growing lately. What will never stop growing, however, is my pash-un for fash-un and my love of costume. Here are a few contenders for my second-favorite holiday:

Q: Cheap & Easy Costume Ideas? A: Bada Bing, Bada Bang
It's October!!! My favorite month of the year, which just so happens to be followed by my third and second favorite months of the year. It is officially time to get in the holiday state-of-mind, which is an all-around glorious state of mind. How the calendar has such an effect on my endorphins is beyond me, but so are most of the mechanics behind my hormonal fracases.
I never understood those people - yes, they're out there and apologies if you're one of them - who claim they don't "do" Halloween. You don't "do" dressing up and candy? You don't "do" the two things that make up my entire essence and being? That is some real bogus hocus pocus that yo no comprendo. But if you're tempted to be a Halloween-Scrooge for reasons related to "ermergawd I'm not spending that on an itchy tacky costume I'll wear once in my life," then perhaps H&M and Katy Perry Collections can lure you over to the dark, sugar-infested side (my side) with these three easy costume ideas.
